Colonel Jack Mustard

Picture
Looking at Colonel Mustard, you might come to the conclusion that he was made for the military. His record certainly indicates it— it’s spotless. He joined the military at a relatively young age, and flew up through the ranks. Colonel Mustard is particularly known for his enthusiastic patriotism. He was married at one point, but his wife tragically committed suicide. The Colonel has since moved on, and in fact, he expects a promotion soon to Brigadier General. That was around the time Mr. Boddy first contacted him…

Mrs. Eileen White

Picture
Mrs. White has been Mr. Boddy’s faithful and devoted housekeeper for years, serving his uncle, the late Hugh Black, before that. She is always cheerful, and loves to gossip. She also happens to be one heck of a cook. Mr. Boddy was genuinely touched by her loyalty, and thus, he left her a considerable sum of money in his will. Mrs. White loved her employer, but she also loved money… Did the temptation prove too much for “harmless” old Mrs. White?

Reverend Henry Green

Picture
Reverend Green is a man of the cloth, but even he cannot be excluded from suspicion. An aura of mystery surrounds this man. Green claims that he did not know Boddy very well. Green is an avid admirer of literature. He lists the work of Dickens among his favourites. He also enjoys reading detective fiction, and is a self-confessed admirer of locked-room mysteries.
*** Note: Rev. Green happens to have an American cousin who was acquainted with Mr. Boddy…***

Mrs. Anne Peacock

Picture
Mrs. Peacock is the considerably wealthy cousin of Mr. Boddy, and well-known society hostess. She refuses to admit a grudge she holds against Boddy. She believed that her uncle, Sir Hugh Black, should’ve left her his fortune. When it turned out Boddy was the sole benefactor, Mrs. Peacock was furious. Nonetheless, she kept on good terms with her cousin… Was she merely waiting for the perfect opportunity to exact her revenge?

Professor Christopher Plum

Picture
Professor Plum is an educated, intelligent man. He could’ve easily come up with the devious crime and the ingenious scheme behind it. It would seem, at first glance, that Plum had the least motive to do away with Boddy. After all, the man was funding his research. Nonetheless, a witness claims that Plum and Boddy argued bitterly before Boddy met his demise…

Miss Emily Peach

Picture
Miss Peach has been Mr. Boddy’s secretary for over five years now. During her employment, she has gotten to know Mr. Boddy quite well. Was she in love with her employer? Did she hate him? It’s often the secretary that does it in detective fiction-- the homicidal butler has long gone out of style, as Rev. Green will tell you. Will it ring true? Did the secretary do it?

Madame Sofia Rose

Picture
Sofia Rose’s parents were Hungarians who immigrated to Alaska. When she was but a young child, tragedy struck. Her parents were brutally murdered right in front of little Sofia’s eyes by a man who was robbing them. The man couldn’t bring himself to shoot the only eye-witness, Sofia, despite the fact that she got a good look at his face. He was arrested fairly quickly and put on trial. Unfortunately, Sofia’s testimony was held up and mocked in court by the defendant’s skillful lawyer. The murderer was acquitted. Soon afterwards, Sofia began to hear voices and feel strange presences, as she slowly began to discover her paranormal abilities. She now works as a psychic, and is known to the world as “Madame Rose”. Unlike most mediums (who often turn out to be fake), she is not theatrical about the paranormal at all…

Sergeant Patrick Gray

Picture
Sergeant Gray is a tough, no-nonsense cop. But, above all, he’s a good cop— his record is pristine. Boddy invited him, ostensibly to “get away” from the big city life for a brief vacation… One cannot help but wonder whether that was merely an excuse, so the two could talk about matters that interested Boddy— financial matters…

Mr. Reginald Boddy

Picture
Mr. Boddy was born into a wealthy family. His uncle, the late Sir Hugh Black, was particularly fond of the boy, and proved to be the one with the most influence on young Mr. Boddy. Boddy ended up studying law, but after a few years of practicing criminal defence, he turned to finance. An expert in financial (and criminal) law, Mr. Boddy seems to have connections everywhere. He also now owns his late uncle’s (many) companies. A very rich man (and a lawyer to boot), Mr. Boddy (shown here in a portrait he commissioned) made many enemies over his lifetime. No one ever accused him of being a modest man...
